The pandemic has shown everyone how much every little help matters and how much heartfelt communication can go a long way in getting through challenging times. Companies have rallied to aid the frontliners and the government in battling COVID-19.
One company, however, has been quietly lending a hand to answer the call of need of the hospitals, the COVID-19 victims, and their families. VERSA, a two-way radio company, had donated units of their HERO model products to hard-hit hospitals for quick and real-time coordination as the country works on flattening the curve.
“As a salute to the true living heroes, our frontliners, during this pandemic, we chose our HERO products to give to various hospitals across the country,” says Merceditas Pinili-Yutuk, general manager, VERSA.
The program started in 2020 during the height of the pandemic where VERSA donated over 100 units in 28 hospitals across the country - from Ospital Ning Angeles in Pampanga, East Avenue Medical in Quezon City to Palimbang Municipal Hospital in Sultan Kudarat.
This year, as the company celebrates its 11th year in the industry, they also donated almost a hundred units to 20 hospitals. VERSA, through its nationwide dealers, donated these units to hard-hit hospitals.
“Every second counts. With our business centered in the safety and security communication industry, we understand how important it is to make sure that we can help mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in various communities in the country,” Yutuk further added.
